Daily Agenda for Friday 11/7 and Tuesday 11/11

REMEMBER THAT I AM OUT TODAY. I WANT YOU TO BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOR. BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE LEFT BELOW.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
* Yesy, Jose, Flor, Balla, Ladarius, Ryan, Maria, Nancy, please post a comment to my blog so I know which is your correct blog you are working on. I think I have an old one. I can't grade your work if I don't have your blog address. If you don't know how to post a comment to my blog please as Jackson or Ryan.



FRIDAY, 11/7__________________________________________________
WARM-UP:
1) go to http://www.freerice.com/ (we are going to work on a different section of free rice today)* Click on Subjects (at the very top of the window)
* Scroll down to English
* Click on English Grammar
* Spend 10 minutes working on the English Grammar
* At the end of 5 minutes, open your Grains of Rice donation spreadsheet
* Record the number of grains of rice you donated today.


2) Print your Grains of Rice Donation spreadsheet. Get print out and put it in the 3rd period turn in box.



CLASS ACTIVITIES:
3) Get your big blue spiral book from the back bookshelf.
4) BLOG POST ASSIGNMENT:
* Open your book to page 80
* click New Post on your blog
* title your post: Lesson 3 Key Terms
* type the term and the definition for each word in your blog and post it to your blog
* be sure to number the terms, bold and underline the term (see example to the right -->)



To create an underline in a blog post, highlight the word and then press ctrl+U at the same time. Press the ctrl key and the letter u at the same time.
Be sure to type ALL 15 WORDS AND DEFINITIONS.

5) After you have typed the Lesson 3 Key Terms in a new blog post, DO THE FOLLOWING.
* Go to the sub and ask the sub for an Internet Scavenger Hunt worksheet.
* complete the worksheet
* you have until the end of the period on TUESDAY to complete this worksheet
* you can turn it in to the sub today to hold it for you until TUESDAY, if you are afraid you will lose it


TUESDAY 11/11__________________________________________________
WARM-UP:

CLASS ACTIVITIES:
2) Get a Purple Office Applications Volume 1 textbook from the long brown tables on the right side of my desk.
3) Complete the following activity from this purple book
* Open to page 83
* Open a blank new Word Document
* Save the new document as: Word Vocabulary
* Add your usual class header/footer (filename is Word Vocabulary)
* Type all 31 terms listed on page 83 just as you see it in the book
* Make sure you follow these rules for formatting:
- always space 1 time before - and 1 time after a - (hyphen, minus symbol)
- there should be 2 spaces after ever period following the numbers
- the should be a period at the end of each definition. There should be no space before a
period.
* Make sure you use Times New Roman font, size 10
* Print out what you have done by the end of the period on Tuesday. This is the only thing I am having you do today so there is no reason you can't get this finished.
* It will be a zero if you do not print out and turn what you have done in to the tray by the end of the period on Tuesday.
4) If you completely finish typing the Word Vocabulary on page 83, make sure you have completed your Internet Scavenger worksheet (FRONT AND BACK) and turned it in to the tray. It is due today.
