pg. 40 lesson 2 terms
WARM-UP:
1) Get YOUR textbook from the back bookshelf.
2) go to http://www.freerice.com/ (we are going to work on a different section of free rice today)* Click on Subjects (at the very top of the window)
* Scroll down to English
* Click on English Grammar
* Spend 5 minutes working on the English Grammar
* At the end of 5 minutes, open your Grains of Rice donation spreadsheet
* Record the number of grains of rice you donated today.
* we will be printing donation spreadsheets at the end of the week
CLASS ACTIVITIES:
3) You should have finished all of the Lesson 1 exercises yesterday in class. You should be just about done with Lesson 2
4) Be sure to get your print outs from printer and turn in to 3rd period turn in tray.
5) Everyone should be just about finished with Lesson 2 Exercises. These must be completed by the end of the period. Print your final exercise once you finish it (once you finish with page 67 that is what you need to print and turn in).
Below is the document you need for the first exercise
* 10/27, pg. 43-44, Cayman Backgrounder (save as xxx-Cayman Backgrounder)
All of the the other exercises in Lesson 2, you will use your xxx-Cayman Backgrounder file you save to your server.
Everything for this exercise builds on to this one document.
Therefore, you will ONLY HAVE 1 PRINT OUT FOR THIS LESSON.
6) After you finish with Lesson 2 exercises you need to type the terms for Lesson 2.
* Create a new Blog post
* title the blog post: Lesson 2 Key Terms
* type the term and the definition for each word in your blog and post it to your blog
* be sure to number the terms, bold and underline the term (see example below)

To create an underline in a blog post, highlight the word and then press ctrl+U at the same time. Press the ctrl key and the letter u at the same time.
THURSDAY: You will be taking a production test. Simply applying the information you learned in lesson 1 to several exercises. So everyone needs to work very quickly today so that all work is finished and you are ready to take Production test tomorrow.
